To the esteemed members of the Asian Society of Calligraphic Arts (ASCA), a non-profit corporation,

At the dawn of the Byeongo Year (丙午年) in 2026, I extend my deepest respect and gratitude to all members who hone their mind and body with a passion for ink, even in the cold winter wind.

Just as the plum blossom prepares its fragrance amidst the mid-winter chill, our association is also taking vigorous steps toward a new leap forward.Last year, we firmly paved the way of Ondogejishin (溫故知新, learning from the past and creating new things) by successfully establishing a dual system for invited artists, balancing tradition and modernity.

This year, we aim to use this as a foundation to further promote the association's standing both domestically and internationally, while making it the starting year for building a substantive and transparent operating system.As the first journey, we will embark on a 'Calligraphy and Humanities Exploration' trip to Shaoxing and Hangzhou, China, for 3 nights and 4 days from February 27th to March 2nd.

In particular, we have arranged a special occasion for artists from both countries to communicate through brush and ink under the theme of "Ink Conveys Affection, China and Korea Harmonize (翰墨传情·中韩和鸣)" at the China Academy of Art (Nanshan Campus), the birthplace of Chinese calligraphy education.

This invaluable exchange, illuminating the future of Sino-Korean calligraphy, will serve as an opportunity to broaden the international scope of our association.Following this, a Special Exhibition, 'The Realm of Calligraphy (書境): New Horizons - The Present and Future of Oriental Calligraphy,' will be held at the Seoul Calligraphy Art Museum, Seoul Arts Center, from April 15th to 28th.

This exhibition will be a unified platform, bringing together solo exhibitions and joint exhibitions by small groups. Based on the newly published 'Operating and Judging Regulations' and 'Exhibition Management and Operation Regulations,' we will actively recruit not only member artists but also talented external artists to expand the association's artistic spectrum.

Furthermore, through a system that transparently guarantees the benefits and economic viability of the exhibition, we will provide an experimental yet refined exhibition experience at the Seoul Arts Center every year.

Most importantly, starting this year, the 'Lifetime Membership' system will be fully implemented according to the newly revised 'Membership and Dues Regulations'. This will serve as an opportunity to further solidify the foundation of the association's operations.

Moreover, through the rational normalization of the annual membership fee system, we will alleviate the burden on the invited artists and executives who have devoted themselves to the association, creating an environment where they can truly dedicate themselves only to art.

Lastly, the schedules for the Great Exhibition of Korean Oriental Calligraphy (Contest) and the Invited Artists Exhibition have been adjusted from October to after November this year to allow for more in-depth preparation.

We will make every effort to hold the best festival at the time when the achievements of our members shine the brightest, like a late autumn harvest.

Let us uphold the tradition of our calligraphy in the spirit of beopgochangsin (法古創新, emulating the past to create the new), while opening a new horizon for East Asian calligraphic arts through transparent and rational innovation.

I sincerely wish that peace and happiness always reside in your homes, and that the joy of creation, full of the fragrance of ink, continues throughout the year.

尊敬的社团法人东洋书艺协会全体会员：

在2026年丙午年新春伊始，向各位会员致以最深的敬意和感谢，感谢你们在料峭的寒冬中，仍以对墨香的热情磨练心志。正如寒冬中的梅花酝酿芬芳，我们协会也正迈出强劲的步伐，以期实现新的飞跃。

去年，我们成功推行了传统与现代兼具的特邀作家双轨制度，坚实地走上了温故知新之路。今年，我们将以此为基础，进一步扩大协会在国内外的影响力，并致力于打造一个内涵丰富、运作透明的元年。
作为首个旅程，我们将于2月27日至3月2日，进行为期3晚4天的中国绍兴和杭州“书艺人文探访”。

特别是在中国书艺教育的摇篮——中国美术学院（南山校区），我们将以“翰墨传情·中韩和鸣”为主题，为两国作家提供一个以笔墨交流的特殊平台。这一宝贵的交流将照亮中韩书艺的未来，也将成为拓宽我们协会国际视野的契机。

紧随其后，4月15日至28日，我们将在艺术殿堂首尔书艺博物馆举办“书境 新的篇章 - 东洋书艺的现在与未来”特别企划展。本次展览将是一个融合了个人展和小规模团体联展的综合性平台。我们将以新近公布的《运营及评审规定》和《展览管理及运营规定》为基础，不仅积极吸纳现有会员作家，还将大力引进外部有实力的作家，以拓宽协会的艺术光谱。

此外，通过透明保障展览利益和经济效益的系统，我们将每年在艺术殿堂提供具有实验性又不失品味的展览体验。最重要的是，从今年开始，根据新修订的《会员及会费规定》，我们将全面实行“终身会员”制度。

这将成为进一步巩固协会运营基础的契机。同时，通过合理化年度会费制度，减轻一直以来为协会奉献的特邀作家和理事们的负担，创造一个让他们能够真正专注于艺术的环境。

最后，为进行更深入的准备，大韩民国东洋书艺大展（公募展）和特邀作家展的日程已从今年的10月调整至11月以后。我们将竭尽全力做好万全准备，在最能彰显会员成就的晚秋时节，为大家献上最精彩的盛典。

让我们以法古创新（法古創新）的精神，坚守书艺传统，并通过透明合理的创新，共同开启东洋文字艺术的新篇章。

Chers membres estimés de l'Association des Arts Calligraphiques Orientaux, corporation à but non lucratif,

À l'aube de l'année Byeongo (丙午年) 2026, j'adresse mon plus profond respect et ma gratitude à tous les membres qui cultivent leur esprit et leur corps avec une passion pour l'encre, même dans le vent froid de l'hiver. Tout comme la fleur de prunier prépare son parfum au milieu du froid hivernal, notre association s'apprête également à faire un pas décisif vers un nouvel envol.

L'année dernière, nous avons solidement ouvert la voie de l'Ongojishin (溫故知新, apprendre du passé et créer du nouveau) en établissant avec succès un double système pour les artistes invités, conciliant tradition et modernité.

Cette année, nous visons à utiliser cela comme fondation pour promouvoir davantage la position de notre association tant au niveau national qu'international, tout en en faisant l'année de départ pour la construction d'un système d'exploitation substantiel et transparent.Comme premier voyage, nous entreprendrons une 'Exploration des Humanités et de la Calligraphie' à Shaoxing et Hangzhou, en Chine, pendant 3 nuits et 4 jours, du 27 février au 2 mars.

En particulier, nous avons organisé une occasion spéciale pour les artistes des deux pays de communiquer par le pinceau et l'encre sous le thème "L'Encre Transmet l'Affection, la Chine et la Corée s'Harmonisent (翰墨传情·中韩和鸣)" à l'Académie des Beaux-Arts de Chine (Campus de Nanshan), le berceau de l'éducation calligraphique chinoise.

Cet échange inestimable, éclairant l'avenir de la calligraphie sino-coréenne, servira d'opportunité pour élargir la portée internationale de notre association.Suite à cela, une Exposition Spéciale, 'Le Royaume de la Calligraphie (書境) : Nouveaux Horizons - Le Présent et l'Avenir de la Calligraphie Orientale,' se tiendra au Musée d'Art Calligraphique de Séoul, Centre des Arts de Séoul, du 15 au 28 avril. Cette exposition sera une plateforme unifiée, rassemblant des expositions individuelles et des expositions conjointes de petits groupes.

Basés sur les 'Règlements d'Exploitation et d'Évaluation' et les 'Règlements de Gestion et d'Exploitation des Expositions' nouvellement publiés, nous recruterons activement non seulement les artistes membres mais aussi des artistes externes talentueux pour élargir le spectre artistique de l'association.

De plus, grâce à un système qui garantit de manière transparente les avantages et la viabilité économique de l'exposition, nous offrirons chaque année une expérience d'exposition expérimentale mais raffinée au Centre des Arts de Séoul.Le plus important est que, à partir de cette année, le système d'Adhésion à Vie ('평생회원') sera entièrement mis en œuvre conformément aux 'Règlements d'Adhésion et de Cotisations' récemment révisés.

Cela servira d'opportunité pour consolider davantage la fondation des opérations de l'association. De plus, par la normalisation rationnelle du système de cotisations annuelles, nous allons alléger le fardeau des artistes invités et des dirigeants qui se sont dévoués à l'association, créant un environnement où ils peuvent véritablement se consacrer uniquement à l'art.Enfin, les calendriers de la Grande Exposition de Calligraphie Orientale de Corée (Concours) et de l'Exposition des Artistes Invités ont été ajustés d'octobre à après novembre cette année pour permettre une préparation plus approfondie.

Nous ferons tous les efforts nécessaires pour organiser le meilleur festival au moment où les réalisations de nos membres brilleront le plus, comme une récolte à la fin de l'automne.

Maintenons la tradition de notre calligraphie dans l'esprit du Pabgochangsin (法古創新, imiter l'ancien pour créer le nouveau), tout en ouvrant ensemble un nouvel horizon pour les arts calligraphiques d'Asie de l'Est par une innovation transparente et rationnelle. Je souhaite sincèrement que la paix et le bonheur résident toujours dans vos foyers, et que la joie de la création, remplie du parfum de l'encre, se poursuive tout au long de l'année.
